METATALES represents a black and white anthology that was largely inspired by the old cult classics like "Caliber Presents" or "DHP". The individual issues always contain between 1-3 short stories, which were designed by a number of different artists. Among others, well-known authors such as Mike Baron or Chuck Brown are involved and unknown authors are always given the opportunity to publish their stories. The stories usually have a strong reference to dystopian future scenarios, distant worlds or technological implementations that have a strong influence on the lives of people in the reality of the future. Those who like variety and a rich palette of different comic styles will definitely enjoy reading here.

This series marks a certain historical milestone in terms of the entire NFT scene, as it was the very first issue of METATALES to feature an NFT in a physical design. It was a special pleasure for ENCODE Graphics to collaborate with CGC on this and make it happen in 2021. The very first physical NFT comic was born... and so somehow the "TECH AGE" of comics.
